Reclaiming the Creative Thread

Photography has always shaped how I see the world. It’s been a long time since I’ve shared my work consistently, but lately I’ve felt the pull to return — not just to shooting, but to creating with intention. This post marks the beginning of that return.

Everyone starts somewhere, and this is where I begin sharing my journey more publicly.

If you're discovering my work for the first time, welcome — I'm truly glad you're here. This blog will be a space for documenting my return to photography and my exploration of fashion and beauty: the shoots, the process, the ideas, and everything in between.

How It Started

I first picked up a camera back in college after switching my major from architecture to computer art. Photography was an elective that quickly became a passion. This was still during the film era, and the darkroom became a place where I could slow down and focus in a way that few other creative tools allowed.

After college, it became harder to access a darkroom, and life moved in other directions. A few years later, I bought my first digital camera — a Canon EOS Rebel — and suddenly I could experiment freely again. I photographed everything: landscapes, street scenes, still lifes, abstract textures. I approached it with curiosity, not yet knowing where it might lead.

One of my earliest fashion-related experiences was photographing a local runway show. I stood at the end of the catwalk, trying to capture the movement, the energy, and the fleeting expressions. That moment planted a seed, and I’ve been drawn to fashion and beauty photography ever since.

Photographers like Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz have influenced me — not just because of their aesthetics, but because of their ability to tell stories through imagery. Their work feels both intimate and expansive, and that balance is something I strive for in my own work.

After some time away, I’m ready to return — and to share what I learn along the way.

How I Work

My approach is grounded in process. I care about the details — not for the sake of chasing perfection, but because every small decision shapes the final image. Light, texture, movement, posture — they all matter. Still, the focus is always on the person in front of the camera.

Every shoot, no matter how big or small, is an opportunity to highlight someone’s natural presence and beauty. I aim to make each session feel welcoming, easygoing, and collaborative. Whether it’s a styled editorial or a spontaneous test shoot, I value shared vision and creative freedom.

Fashion and beauty photography often lean into perfection and polish. I’m curious in creating something human. The rawness of a glance, the truth in a still moment. That’s the work I want to do.

Where It's Going

This blog is where I’ll share my creative process — from test shoots and mood boards to behind-the-scenes stories and reflections on building a creative practice.

If you’re a model, stylist, makeup artist, or fellow creative and would like to collaborate, I’d love to connect. And if you’re just curious to see where this goes, I hope you’ll follow along.

You can subscribe to the blog or find me on [Instagram] for updates on new posts and upcoming shoots. Thanks for being here.

Let’s see where this leads.
